Presented by a guest panel of professionals including: Dr. Dan Amzallag, Panel Moderator, and dating coach experts, counselors, therapists will cover interesting subject of Dating and relationship in the 21st century.

As spring season and warmer weather are blessing all of the DMV residents, we tend to feel more inclined to go outdoors and appreciate the change of weather after a cold and muggy winter. Many can suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and have tendency to get addicted to drugs, alcohol and much more to compensate for this disorder. Opioid epidemic is rising in this country and it is important to tackle the issue and bring awareness that it can hit anyone and everyone. Many have lost their lives and close family members has been suffering from these losses. Addiction within a relationship can have dire consequences to the couple when one spouse is entangled in this challenging battle. Help is available out there but not sufficient enough to save the victims. Spending years with the person dealing with these battles can take a toll and the relationship can end up in divorce or worst, death. Addiction can come in many forms, including but not limited to: hard drugs, pain killers, alcohol, porn, sex and so much more. Our seminar is designed to give you the tools to understand the intricacies of these difficult battles with addictions and what to do to and where to go to manage and handle the addict. Giving up on the person can be a sane solution for you but is it the ONLY solution left? When to say enough is enough and when to push through the hard times to help your spouse in distress?

“Addiction within relationship: When to push through or when to give up?” is the 15th episode of the many future seminars offered in the DMV area that will look at the subject of “Dating in the 21st century.”  The format of the program will be interactive; attendees will be encouraged to ask questions of the panelists throughout the seminar. This event is designed for the public and opens to anyone interested in learning more about addictions and how to handle them in their current relationship. At this fun, interactive seminar, you will learn several ways on how to cope with addiction and what you can do to help the victim (family member, significant other etc..) There are some do’s and don’t to focus on and we will share several strategies on how to push forward or when to give up.  

The seminar on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 will tackle topics such as:

• How to deal with addiction once admitted?

• Denial is the first challenge to work with when your significant other won’t admit they have an issue?

• Gaslighting is the first offense used by the addicted person, and how to circumvent that strategy? 

• When to seek outside help when the addicted person cut all ties?

• Is losing your sanity over addicted spouse worth it for you in the long run?
