Things not to mention on your first date!

It's perfectly natural to want to hug your crush or date warmly, but it's important to strike the right balance. If you think a tight hug will leave a lasting impression, you might want to reconsider. Instead, maintain a respectful distance and make eye contact. Avoid getting distracted or looking away; try to manage your enthusiasm and focus on making a genuine connection for the evening.

Keep the conversation light and avoid bringing up personal issues like past relationships, family history, or excessive flattery. While adding a touch of charm is fine, overdoing it can come off as insincere. Relax your posture, offer a warm, open gaze, and encourage your date to share more about themselves. Limit the focus on yourself to avoid appearing self-centered.

Ensure your praise is genuine and avoid making comments that could be perceived as inappropriate. Leave your phone aside to show your date that they have your full attention. Don't let work-related topics interfere with the flow of conversation—keep it enjoyable and focused on getting to know each other.

Refrain from discussing controversial subjects like religion or politics, and avoid being overly critical or judgmental. The date is your chance to be yourself without delving into deep or sensitive topics. Save the heavy discussions for later and try not to overwhelm your date with too much personal information.

If you're divorced with children, briefly mention your parental status but avoid going into detail. Focus on enjoying the date and making a positive connection rather than stressing over potential pitfalls. Remember, the first date doesn't have to be stressful—it can be an enjoyable experience!
